Bruno vom Guesthaus ~ UPDATED!! ~

Bruno vom Guesthaus

(New photo coming soon!)

6/12/2011

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to pass on the good news to you about Bruno! This past week 06/10/11 he obtained his NewYorkState Advanced Narcotics K-9 Certification, and also got his National Narcotics Dog Certification from Eastern Police Canine Association. PND1.

He had to complete outdoor buried narcotics finds, several room searches,a building search, vehicle searches, and now he is Certified for Heroin, Cocaine, Crack, Hashish, Marijuana, & Meth. We were at the southern Tier K-9 Association advanced handlers seminar. Bruno did really well; we're really proud of him.

Thanks Ian & Tarah!

Thanks,
Bob & Michele Jones

When I first visited the E-litter at three weeks, I wasn’t looking for a puppy. I didn’t think I would be buying another puppy for at least two years.
However, several puppy parties later, I had decided I would be foolish to not buy a puppy who so perfectly met what I like in a German Shepherd.

She has not disappointed me. Not only does she excel in her early Schutzhund training, but also she is doing very well in herding lessons. When I bought her, I wasn’t even thinking about herding. I was looking for a quality pet that I could do things with. She has exceeded all my expectations and it’s great that her breeders, Ian and Tarah, are always interested in hearing about her.

Hello there!
Echo is a great dog - he is very high energy but an absolute love to be around.  He is a cuddler and thinks he is a lap dog even though he weighs close to 80 pounds.  Our 5 year old son and him are like best buds and play well together.  He has a great temperament and we just love him.

Hello! Fiona (called Kylie now) is doing great!! The trainer says she is the smartest pup he's ever worked with. She definitely adds a lot to the family as well; my dad even loves her! Thank you so much!

What’s up brother? My man Freddy (Fredrick vom Guesthaus) has adjusted perfectly with the family and is becoming a big lovable boy. Today, he had a vet appointment and to my surprise weighed in at 40pounds an 18 pound increase within the last month.  He’s growing so fast before my eyes and eats like a horse.

Everywhere we go I receive many compliments on him and one guy already asked me if I would consider breading him.  No thanks guy.  His temperament is perfect with my kids as well as anyone I welcome in.  He thrives for attention and is very intelligent.  For some reason when we head out for a walk his actions indicate to me that he would prefer to stay home and hang out with my kids.

We absolutely adore him and he is everything that I was hoping for.

Thank you,

James Serafini

Hi Ian and Tarah,
We just wanted to let you know that Tippet is doing great. Her personality is awesome! She's adjusting well, and not acting stressed at all. She does cry a bit at night, but not since we moved her into our bed (we are suckers!!!). Potty training is going well, only 1 accident so far (she has us trained well). We worked a half-day yesterday and she didn't go crazy when we left, but was definitely excited to see us when we got back. Today I'm working from home, although I did go on a few errands this morning with her. We went to the research farm and introduced her to John's co-workers. She was friendly to everyone.

Anyway, all is well, and we're already getting a lot of comments from others ("what a beautiful dog!"). Everyone is impressed with how easy going she is.

Love,
Dr. Mary Sromberger

Hey Ian!
Things are going very well.  She's definitely a handful, that's for sure.  But I'm good with that. :)  I named her "Ghost" - after a brave and loyal wolf character in a book series I like. (I get some weird looks from people when I tell them her name, lol )  She's absolutely adorable, and so smart.  We've been working hard on a good daily routine and learning the basics sit, down, stay, etc.  Still needs some more work on the leash but I have no doubt we'll get there.  Everyone comments on how well behaved she is.

Hey, how’s it going?
We’re doing well, Bruno is continuing his training, he indicates on heroin, cocaine, crack cocaine, and marijuana. He's tracking very well, we had a track laid out 150 yards starting at some railroad tracks then across pavement down a field, his nose is right on the ground and running on the track. I've put hot dog slices along the track but he totally ignores these and runs right past them. At the end of the track he finds his tug and gets his reward.

Bruno had 2 vehicle searches Sat. night he jumped right into the trunk searching for drugs, but the vehicles were clean.  Well I'll let you go we miss you guys wish we could have done more training together give us a shout when you can.

Ian and Tarah are excellent dog trainers and breeders. Dealing with them was very straight forward and without complications. They breed titled bitches to champion stud dogs. Our "puppy" is 9 months old now and is the smartest, best dog we have ever owned.

Tarah and Ian were fantastic to deal with, in every aspect and at every step in the process. I have the most wonderful, big hearted, family dog to show for it.

I have had my Shepherd for almost a year and I cannot take him anywhere without people stopping and saying how gorgeous he is and how mild tempered he is.

Overall outstanding experience. I will travel from NY to TN to get my next Shepherd!!

We checked out a few breeders before chosing Guesthaus. Ian and Tarah really care about their dogs and take time pairing a pup with a family.

We've had our girl for over a year and she is the best dog anyone could ask for. So loving, gentle, and smart. We've loved keeping in touch with Guesthaus and the puppy parties!

We will definately work with Tarah and Ian again!

Only good things to say about Tarah and Ian and their kennel. Honored to work with them in a club setting and compete against them in sheep herding trials. First class people and dogs with super temperaments.

Hi Tarah and Ian,
Emma is doing great.  She is such a smart girl with a lot of energy!  She travels to Rick's office everyday and is quite used to the routine.  We walk her in our field for several miles every evening and she enjoys running with our other two dogs.  I also took her to school to meet all of the kids.  She breezed through Rebecca's Canine Academy even though she was the youngest dog there.  I have attached some pictures when she was a bit younger, she now weighs about 45 lbs.

We hope all is well with you!

Dana is done with her obedience classes for now.  She is doing well!  She sits, lays down, stays, heels, and stands for about a second.  She still jumps on me a lot especially when I come home or if she is excited.  I try to ignore her when I first come home so she does not get excited and jump on me.  She is just playing, not jumping out of anger or anything.  I am guessing that she is probably 65 pounds now.  Lots and lots of hair and very cute!!!  We love her so much.
